SHOP staff and customers feared for their lives as they were held at gunpoint by robbers.

One of the thugs emptied cash into a large black bag while his accomplice pointed a weapon at the victims at the Tesco store on Upper Chorlton Road in Old Trafford.

The duo, who covered their faces with scarves, first approached a member of staff in the car park at about 8.40pm on Sunday, March 11.

They ordered the employee back inside and forced him to open the tills.

After stealing cash, the raiders ran off in the direction of Tomlinson House.

Both of the offenders were about 5ft 8ins and wore gloves.

The first suspect is described as Asian and in his mid-30s.

The second offender is described as being mixed race, of skinny-to-average build. …
