¦ April 27, 1965: Four of the greatest footballers of all time are reunited at Manchester Airport after flying into England to play in Stanley Matthews' benefit match.

They are, from left, Alfredo di Stefano of Real Madrid and Argentina, Matthews himself, Hungarian ace Ferenc Puskas and his international team-mate Laszlo Kubala.

Matthews, known as the Wizard of the Dribble, made 697 club appearances in a playing career stretching from 1932 to 1965. He played 54 times for England scoring 11 goals.

He will always be remembered for the 'Matthews Cup Final' which saw his Blackpool team defeat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 at Wembley. Matthews was man of the match and almost unplayable on the day.
