City Defender Blasts Twitter Troll over Fergie Abuse

CITY defender Benjamin Mendy told a Twitter troll who questioned his support for Sir Alex Ferguson to '**** off'.

Mendy was one of the first footballers to express his support for Ferguson after it emerged he had suffered a brain haemorrhage on Saturday. Shortly after the news broke, City left-back Mendy tweeted: "So sad... All our prayers for you Sir Alex."

However, a troll sent Mendy a disgusting message in response.

Mendy simply told the troll to '**** off'. The user also sent an abhorrent reply to City playmaker David Silva for tweeting about Ferguson.

City manager Pep Guardiola and first-team coach Brian Kidd - who assisted Ferguson between 1991-1998 at United - spoke about the Scot's ill health on Sunday.
