Doug Ford says he will stick by a southern Ontario candidate who has come under fire by critics who say he has expressed openly misogynistic, racist and homophobic views on social media and in his various jobs as a talk radio host. London West Progressive Conservative candidate Andrew Lawton has blamed mental illness for his past failings, saying he is far removed from who he is today but did not point to specific examples.
