Banksy exhibit headed to Toronto

TORONTO - An unauthorized exhibition featuring the work of mysterious British graffiti artist Banksy is headed to Toronto.

Organizers say "The Art of Banksy" will make its North American premiere in the city on June 13 at 213 Sterling Rd.

Banksy's former agent, Steve Lazarides, curated the exhibit.

It features more than 80 original works worth over $35 million and is billed as "the largest Banksy exhibit ever assembled."

Among the pieces is the famous painting known as "Girl and Balloon."

The show also has the "Laugh Now" piece depicting a monkey with a sign hanging from his neck.

Banksy, whose identity remains a secret and does not appear in public, is also a social activist and filmmaker. …
