(US-Trump-Iran) (Audio: 149)

President Donald Trump's decision to pull the U-S out of the Iran nuclear deal is costing American aerospace giant Boeing billions.

U-S Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin (mih-NOO'-chin) says the existing sales licenses held by Boeing and its European competitor Airbus Group to sell commercial jetliners to Iran are invalidated by the move.

The sanctions will also sharply curtail sales of oil by Iran, which is currently the world's fifth-largest oil producer.

But Mnuchin doesn't expect oil prices to rise sharply because other producers will step up their production. (18)

Quebec New Democrat M-P Christine Moore has been temporarily suspended from her duties following allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour towards an Afghan war veteran.

Party leader Jagmeet Singh has ordered an investigation into the claims by retired corporal Glen Kirkland, who says Moore invited him to her office and plied him with drinks in 2013.

He says Moore sent him explicit messages, and even arrived unannounced at his Manitoba home before he forcibly told her to stop. (18)

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says the United Conservative Party is not standing up for women in Alberta.

Notley says the fact the U-C-P caucus has walked out of debate on a bill to stop women from being harassed outside abortion clinics is worrying.

She also pointed to a resolution tied to abortion that members voted in favour at the party's policy meeting this weekend.

At the United Conservative founding convention, members voted 74 per cent in favour of a resolution requiring parents be notified before any invasive medical procedure is performed on a minor. …
