NAT098 - (OBIT-Margot-Kidder) (FOR PRODUCTION) UNDATED. x-16s. Canadian-born actress Margot Kidder has died at the age of 69. Kidder rose to fame in 1978, starring as Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent in "Superman." She had a very public battle with bipolar disorder and went on to become an advocate for mental health issues. Kidder was politically active and was among a group of environmentalists arrested outside the White House in 2011 during a protest against the Keystone X-L pipeline. The Yellowknife native became a naturalized U-S citizen several years ago and died at her home in Montana where she settled in order to live away from the spotlight. In this scene from 1978's "Superman," Kidder's Lois Lane is interviewing Reeve's Superman, and she's curious about his presence on Earth. …
