SERGIO Aguero has revealed he made Pep Guardiola angry during the Catalan's first season in charge of City.

The Argentine scored 33 times in Guardiola's maiden campaign in England but never seemed to have the full backing of his manager - and briefly lost his place in the starting XI following the January arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.

At the time Guardiola felt Jesus suited the team's style of play better and it was only when the Brazilian fractured his metatarsal in February 2017 that Aguero regained his place the team. The striker has since adapted his game to suit Guardiola's high-intensity approach and he's reaped the benefits this year, scoring another 30 goals, despite missing all of City's matches towards the end of the season with a knee injury. …
