ANTHONY Martial must step up his United game - or consider leaving Old Trafford.

That's the view of France legend David Ginola, who believes the forward is in the right place to shine.

But the former Tottenham and Newcastle winger feels the youngster needs to fight harder for his place if he is to convince manager Jose Mourinho of his worth.

And he wants the 22-year-old to up his game after being left out of the France World Cup squad by Didier Deschamps.

"I think Manchester United is a great club for him and it's up to him to give more in training and in games," said Ginola.

"If Jose Mourinho doesn't play him more regularly he probably thinks it's because he doesn't give his best all the time.

"I don't see a manager like Mourinho not playing a player who can make him win games. It doesn't work like that. …
