The name is kind of gross, but these bacon-wrapped jalapeno peppers are anything but. It does, however, take a bit of time on the grill, so you might want to start making them before company arrives.

8 jalapeno peppers

8 ounces cream cheese

1 (8-ounce) jar pepper jelly

16 slices bacon

Dry barbecue rub

Favorite barbecue sauce

Set up grill for two-zone cooking.

Cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds and veins. If you like them spicy, leave the veins alone.

Spread ½ ounce of cream cheese in each of the cavities of the sliced jalapenos. Then spread about 1 teaspoon pepper jelly on top of cream cheese layer.

Take one of the slices of bacon and starting from the stem end of the pepper, wrap around in a spiral pattern, making sure the end of the bacon is on the bottom of the pepper. …
