Man, 39, Faces Five Charges after Shooting at Restaurant

A MAN has been charged in connection with a shooting at a restaurant in Salford.

A 30-year-old man was blasted in the knee in the car park of Albert's Worsley on the East Lancashire Road, Swinton, on February 4. He was taken to hospital with a serious gunshot wound to the leg.

He has since been discharged and continues to recover.

Michael Crimes, of Littlegreen Gardens, Salford, has now been charged with five offences in connection with the shooting. The 39-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possession with intent to supply amphetamine.

Mr Crimes has also been charged with two counts of handling stolen goods.

He has now been remanded to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court. …
