Robber BITES Woman as She Tends Graves in Cemetery

AN elderly woman was bitten and her car was stolen as she tended graves at Southern Cemetery.

The woman was viciously attacked as she was taking part in voluntary work at the Chorlton cemetery.

She was thrown to the ground and bitten by a man as she approached her car shortly before 1.40pm on Tuesday.

The woman, in her 70s, bravely fought her attacker but he snatched her keys and drove off in her car, a black Honda Jazz, in the direction of Nell Lane. She was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Police are now on the hunt for the man and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. He is described as aged between 25 and 30, with olive skin, small, slight and balding. He was wearing a loose beige T-shirt and darker trousers. …
