Quidditch may have gotten its start in Harry Potter's flying broom fantasy world but it's now an actual sport, played by hundreds of teams and run by national and international governing bodies. Those interested in checking it out can start with the Steel City Quidditch Club, which practices on Saturday mornings at Magee Field in Greenfield. The co-ed sport is sometimes described as a combination between rugby, dodgeball and tag, and is popular on college campuses. And while many players are avowed Harry Potter fans, others don't know a muggle from a Hufflepuff. "I know some people who literally never went near the books," said Michael Clark-Polner, the Steel City club's captain. "They just started playing."
