Police Officers Face Sentencing after Corruption Investigation

TWO police officers will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to offences as part of a drugs investigation.

Pc Kerry Reeve, 36, from Middleton, admitted two counts of encouraging the commission of offences when she appeared before a judge in Manchester yesterday.

She pleaded guilty to asking Pc Adam Jackson, 37, from Bacup, to obtain and supply her with a class A drug on two occasions.

Previously Jackson has also appeared in court.

He admitted encouraging or assisting in the commission of supplying a Class A drug, namely cocaine, and two counts of possession of a Class A drug, namely cocaine and methylamphetamine. They will both be sentenced on June 25.

It comes after an investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Anti-Corruption Unit.

During yesterday's brief hearing at Manchester Crown Court, Reeve's barrister Ricky Holland said his client is a serving police officer who is suspended. …
