This week at area farmers markets, look for asparagus, strawberries, lettuce, spinach, watercress, greens of all kinds, morel mushrooms, carrots, green onions, lemongrass, microgreens, cucumbers and tomatoes. PAN-ROASTED ASPARAGUSYield: 4 servings

½ tablespoon olive oil

½ tablespoon butter

1 pound thick asparagus, see note

Salt and pepper
