NAT065 - (EU-Belgium-Shooting) (NOT FOR ONLINE USE) LIEGE, Belgium. x-05s. Belgian authorities are trying to learn more about 36-year-old Benjamin Herman who is suspected in the killing yesterday of two police officers in the city of Liege (lee-YEZH'). Armed with a knife, Herman allegedly stabbed the two female officers, then stole their guns and shot them dead. Herman injured four police officers before he was killed. Police say he was on a two-day prison leave at the time of the attack. Eric Van der Sypt (Sept), with the Belgian prosecutor's office says the suspect was known to law enforcement.
