UNITED are looking to hire a firstteam scout in France as the club continues its network revamp.

Former French scout David Friio, who unearthed Paul Pogba at Le Havre in 2009, left United to join St Etienne in April 2017 and the position remains vacant. A link on the United website lists a 'First Team Scout' role in France 'to identify world-class and emerging talent for the club, ensuring a talent pipeline and a world-class first-team squad'. The job specification reads: "To act as a representative of the club in France, responsible for accurately capturing and relying on a time basis in-depth contextual knowledge of the players who are of the required standard for Manchester United's First Team and Academy."

The responsibilities include attending matches and filing scouting reports and to maintain 'up-to-date records, reports, player lists, positional matrix through the club data'. …
