EDMONTON. x-11s. A bill that creates no-protest zones around abortion clinics has been passed by the Alberta legislature. Premier Rachel Notley's government and two opposition parties voted for the legislation while the opposition United Conservatives walked out in protest. Independent member Derek Fildebrandt told the house that, at the very least, politicians must show up for work.

TAG: The bill makes it illegal for protesters to go within 50 metres of an abortion clinic or video, takes pictures or harass staff and patients.
