PEP Guardiola has confirmed he wants to try his hand at international management.

The 47-year-old has conquered leagues in Spain, Germany and now England during his 10-year managerial career, but is yet to take charge of a national team.

Guardiola last month signed a contract extension to keep him at the Etihad until 2021 and he has now hinted at what his post-City future holds.

Speaking from Ghent, where Guardiola was attending the Kevin de Bruyne Cup on Saturday, the Catalan said: "I want to be at a World Cup or European Championship once again, yes.

"In the following years, I want to stay where I am. But if someone wants me afterwards... I'm still young."

Alongside Guardiola at De Bruyne's annual youth-team tournament was Herwig de Bruyne, Kevin's father, and the City manager had some kind words for him. …
