Bridgeville Developer to Buy Downtown Building

While out-of-town investors have spent the past few years gobbling up some of the prime real estate in Downtown, a local company appears to be poised to snatch up one.

Bridgeville-based RDC Design + Build has the Federal Home Loan Bank Building at 601 Grant Street under agreement to purchase, according to real estate sources.

The 17-story office building, which sits across the street from U.S. Steel Tower, has been on the market for nearly a year. Its current owner is the Grant Street Office Corp., according to Allegheny County real estate records.

Gregg Broujos, managing director of Colliers International, which has been marketing the property, declined comment. RDC officials could not be reached for comment.

Built in 1958, the FHLB Building totals 163,616 square feet. …
