THIS is the moment a kitten was thrown high into the air by a group of young children playing on a trampoline.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a 'distressing' video emerged of the black and white cat hitting the ground from a height.

Footage of the incident, which happened on Villa Road in Oldham, shows a group of children playing on a trampoline in a neighbour's garden.

They throw a young black and white cat into the air repeatedly whilst bouncing on the trampoline.

It is not yet known what happened to the animal or if it suffered any injuries after hitting the ground.

The animal welfare charity is now investigating and appealing for anyone who may have seen anything, or someone who may have found a dead or severely injured cat, to get in touch.
