A PLANE crash-landed in a field in Salford.

The light aircraft came down in farmland at Chat Moss - around a mile from City Airport in Eccles.

Emergency services were called just after 3.10pm yesterday.

Two men managed to escape the wreckage.

The second man was checked over by ambulance crews at the scene. The air ambulance also attended with the hazardous area response team, but was not needed.
