Delph Puts Success Down to New Diet and Meditation

FABIAN Delph believes changing his diet and starting to meditate has helped to kick start his career.

The midfielder was a regular starter for City during last season's record breaking campaign and established himself at left-back during Benjamin Mendy's injury.

His impressive performances led to him being selected by Gareth Southgate as part of his 23-man squad for the World Cup and the 28-year-old has credited his success to two things.

"I stopped eating red meat but still eat other meat. I've changed my diet in terms of getting it more balanced, more healthy by eating more greens, more vegetables — and I've cut out sugar," Delph explained.

"It's helped me tremendously. I kept picking up muscle injuries. I was obviously getting older. I have always trained with crazy intensity. …
