Viewed mainly as a third baseman by the Yankees, Brandon Drury started at first base Tuesday at Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and had a triple and two RBI. He's slashing .313/.442/.455 at Class AAA and moving him to first base might be a hint that he could soon replace Tyler Austin on the roster.

"It could definitely help," manager Aaron Boone said, speaking generally about Drury's versatility helping him find a way back to the Bronx.

Drury also has considerable experience at second, "so some versatility to his game puts him in a better position to help our club again at some point."
