(BC-Dudley-Inquest)

The R-C-M-P says it will review recommendations from a coroner's inquest into the death of a woman who spent four days paralyzed and dying inside her home in Mission.

Thirty-seven-year-old Lisa Dudley and her boyfriend were shot in the home in 2008, and while a neighbour called 9-1-1, the responding officers did not get out of their vehicles to investigate.

Inquest jurors made nine recommendations, including that R-C-M-P explore policies on following up on serious calls for incidents such as shootings and stabbings.

Staff Sergeant Annie Linteau says the recommendations will be "thoroughly reviewed" and that the force will provide a full written response to the B-C Coroners Service. (The Canadian Press)

Environmentalists and First Nations say commercial salmon farms infect the wild stock as they swim past, but studies haven't been conclusive.

Horgan denied the woman's claims that his government was stalling on protecting wild salmon. (The Canadian Press)

The reviewer did not respond to the civil claim and did not appear at the B-C Supreme Court trial, meaning the plaintiffs would be awarded damages by default.

A decision from Justice Catherine Murray says businesses that invite online comments from customers should know that not all reviews will be good. …
