TORONTO - Curtis Granderson stepped out of the home team's dugout and on to the field at Rogers Centre, but he wasn't wearing the familiar blue and white of a Jays uniform.

Instead, he had on a yellow, white and black "Hot City All-Stars" jerseys, as a tip of his cap to his dad, Curtis Sr., who couldn't make the trip to Toronto for Father's Day on Sunday because he was playing in his weekly softball game.

"I snuck a little bit of the baseball skills from him," said the younger Granderson, a three-time MLB all-star who has hit 325 career home runs over 15 years in the bigs. "A little bit."

Granderson posted several photos of himself wearing his dad's jersey on the field to Twitter, posing with the stadium's jumobtron in the background. …
