NEMANJA Matic has broken his social media silence after his scuffle with the Costa Rica bench by posting a photo of the incident with the caption: 'I will not give it to you'.

Serbia were closing in on a 1-0 victory in their World Cup opener at the Kaliningrad Stadium on Sunday when the ball went out of play for a throw-in.

Costa Rica assistant boss Luis Marin picked up the ball before Matic tried to grab it off him to take the set-piece quickly, despite it being a throw-in to Los Ticos as they went in search of an equaliser.

Matic's conduct angered the Costa Rica bench and the United midfielder was quickly surrounded by a number of players, officials and substitutes.

With no Serbia player in sight, Matic stood his ground as fourth official Bamlak Tessema tried to calm matters on the touchline. …
