VANCOUVER. x-14s. Five B-C families that went to Japan to adopt kids are now stuck because of a bureaucratic impasse. Lawyer Alex Stojicevic (stoy-CHA-vitch) represents all of the families and says they can't come home because the federal government has refused to issue visas for the children. He says the Canadian government did not inform them about a change in policy regarding adoptions from Japan.
