The federal government is reminding Canadians that while its plan to legalize marijuana has made it passed the Senate, pot remains illegal as does driving under the influence. When pressed on how Bill C-45 will protect young people given that the law will allow home-grown cannabis, Health Minister Ginette Petitpas-Taylor said there has to be some trust that Canadians who choose to grow their own pot will do so safely.
