NAT133 - (ENT-ART-Human-Tableau) CALGARY. x-20s. The Military Museum in Calgary is hosting a display to bring a 1919 oil painting about the First World War to life. The painting is called "Gassed," and depicts soldiers blinded and injured by mustard gas being led to a casualty tent to be treated. The curator of the University of Calgary's Founders' Gallery, Lindsey Sharman, says real people are being videoed as part of the display, and then added to a mockup of the original painting. ("..raw, lifeness.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: Artist Adad Hannah (uh-DAD') Hannah says the painting is quite dark but has parallels to what's still happening today when gas attacks claimed the lives of civilians in Syria.
