¦ June 27, 1982: Indian cricketer Kapil Dev is dismissed for 65 runs after being caught by England wicket keeper Bob Taylor in the Second Test at Old Trafford. Geoff Miller was bowling.

The match ended in a draw. England scored 425 in their first innings (Botham 128) with India 379 for eight wickets in reply.

The man of the match was India's Sandeep Patil who scored 129 not out.

England won the three-Test series 1-0.

¦ June 23, 1972: Steelworkers walk the line in protest at the planned closure of the Irlam plant with the loss of 4,353 jobs.
