KEVIN de Bruyne hasn't received enough credit for his performances for Belgium at the World Cup.

That's the view of Red Devils manager Roberto Martinez, who reckons De Bruyne's displays have gone under the radar because he's been playing in a deeper position to the one he operates in for City.

De Bruyne was rested for Thursday's win over England but played in both of Belgium's opening games, notching an assist for Romelu Lukaku in the win over Panama.

The 27-year-old will return to the team for tonight's last-16 game against Japan and Martinez has been singing his praises ahead of the encounter.

"I think Kevin de Bruyne has been underestimated in this World Cup so far," Martinez said. "When you're looking at his contribution in our team, it's one of those contributions that is a deciding contribution. …
