CITY are close to agreeing a deal for Riyad Mahrez, believed to be worth around £60m.

But reports the transfer is agreed and will be completed by the end of this week should be treated with caution, according to sources at both selling club Leicester and at City.

But if the Blues do clinch a deal for the Algeria international winger at that fee, it will represent a coup for their patient approach to trying to land the player, after walking away from negotiations in January.
