LEWISPORTE, N.L. x-24s. The small Newfoundland town of Lewisporte has said goodbye to the second of two refugee families sponsored by the community. Both families moved to Windsor, Ontario, for better job security, closeness to family and friends, and a larger community of Arabic speakers. Carolyn Parsons, a member of the Lewisporte Refugee Outreach Committee, says she will miss her new friends, but understands the difficulty of building a life in a small Canadian town.
