Jerry Weber Plans to Sell 15,000 Records at Dollarpalooza

Great news for vinyl junkies: Jerry Weber is in the mood to unload some records.

The former owner of Jerry's Records, aka Vinyl-Man, will set up once again at the Pittsburgh Irish Centre, 6886 Forward Ave., Squirrel Hill, from Thursday through Saturday with Dollarpalooza.

He will bring 15,000 records from his Swissvale warehouse, where he has a collection (a rather chaotic one) of more than 200,000 pieces of vinyl.

"I want to get rid of 100,000 records by the end of the year," says Mr. Weber, who has been in the business for more than 40 years. "I will be 70 in three weeks [Aug. 7], and I want those records to get out there."

Everything will be priced at $1. Expect a lot of records along the line of Kansas, Journey, Styx, Moody Blues and Rod Stewart.

"This isn't junk," he says. "This is stuff I had a mind to sell for $3. …
