(NDP-Greyhound-Letter)

Federal N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh has sent a letter to the prime minister urging him to take action to keep Greyhound buses running on the highways of Western Canada.

Singh says Justin Trudeau should develop a funding plan to avoid Greyhound shutting down routes in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, northwestern Ontario and rural B-C.

Singh says there should be no interruption or reduction in bus service and no community should be left stranded.

Greyhound Canada announced the cuts on Monday, blaming a decline in ridership, among other issues. (The Canadian Press)

The April 6th crash took the lives of 16 people and left 13 others injured.

Parents of one of the players have filed a lawsuit asking for a court order requiring all sports teams buses in Saskatchewan to have seatbelts. (The Canadian Press)

Constable Rob Carver says the alleged crime occurred in a home that was not Wyatt's on January 14th, and the alleged victim is not Wyatt's wife.

Wyatt has taken a leave of absence from city council but under the city's charter, councillors are only removed from office for criminal offences after a conviction. (The Canadian Press)
