N-D-P Leader Andrea Horwath says the new P-C government's throne speech offers very little for regular Ontarians.

Horwath say the speech signals that the government will begin to move away from providing essential public services in favour of cutting taxes.

She says people might have a few extra dollars in their pockets but will find health care and education underfunded.

The speech promised the government will reduce taxes for parents, small businesses and the working poor, and pledged to bring down electricity bills. (The Canadian Press)

The force says more than 16-hundred speeding charges have been laid against transport truck drivers so far this year. (The Canadian Press)
