'Bomber' into Action to Sniff out Stolen Goods

MEET Bomber, the hero police dog who returned £2,000 worth of stolen power tools to their owner - before helping to track down a suspect.

The pooch sniffed out the stolen goods in the undergrowth at Broomes Park in Chadderton, Oldham. He then tracked down one of the suspects. Two people have now been arrested, according to a GMP Traffic tweet.

At 5am, the force tweeted: "Broomes Park, @GMPChadderton working with response colleagues searching for offenders responsible for theft of a considerable quantity of power tools from a van. Tools located by dog and handler, search for offenders continuing."

Then, at 6am, they tweeted an update saying: "One offender detained by response patrols and a second located by PD Bomber with assistance from @NPAS Barton helicopter.

"Bomber also located £2,000 of stolen tools located hidden in undergrowth. …
