Flanagan Gets Chance to Fight in Super Series

TERRY Flanagan has been confirmed in the next edition of the World Boxing Super Series at super-lightweight.

The Ancoats boxer had been in talks over the past few months about being part of the next edition of the tournament, but it was feared his defeat to Maurice Hooker for the WBO superlightweight title may have prevented it.

But Flanagan's promoter Frank Warren has confirmed his fighter will be part of it, with the draw for the tournament set to take place in Moscow tomorrow.

Flanagan's domestic rival Josh Taylor is one of the other fighters involved in the tournament, along with Kiryl Relikh and Eduard Troyanovsky.

The Super Series sees eight fighters compete in a knockout style competition over several months, with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final taking place until one boxer is left. …
