WINNIPEG. x-09s. The Manitoba government has been given a green light from the courts to freeze public-sector wages, at least for the time being. A Court of Queen's Bench justice has denied a request from public-sector unions for temporary injunction on the freeze, pending a full hearing at a later date on the constitutional validity of the freeze. Kevin Rebeck (REE'-beck), head of the Manitoba Federation of Labour, says the fight will continue against what he says is an unfair law.
