CALGARY - Montreal Alouettes quarterback Drew Willy left Saturday's 25-8 loss against the Calgary Stampeders and didn't return because of a hand injury requiring stitches.

Willy, who completed a four-yard pass to Ernest Johnson on his final snap, was seen shaking his right hand at one point in the game before eventually heading to the Montreal locker-room early in the second quarter.

Willy was 3 for 4 for 17 yards when back-up QB Matt Shiltz replaced him at 11:36 of the second.

"Drew got a gash on his finger, came in and got stitches, came back out in the second (half), but I just didn't feel like he could function in that situation. Obviously at that point, we gave Matt the reins and let him carry us the rest of the way," said Alouettes head coach Mike Sherman. …
