Caravan Towed Away as Police Comb Industrial Estate for Clues

FORENSIC officers investigating the death of baby Pearl were yesterday combing an industrial estate close to where her body was found.

Since the newborn girl was discovered in woodland near the River Roch in April, detectives have been carrying out a painstaking investigation into who her mother is and how the girl, who officers named Pearl, came to be found on land near the Back o'th' Moss.

As a man and a woman, believed to be her parents, were arrested on suspicion of her murder, there was a large police presence just a short distance away from where her body was discovered, activity focused on a caravan which was later seen being towed away.

A number of police cars and vans were parked outside the Britannia industrial estate, which contains several different units, off George Street. …
