2 Ex-Domino's Delivery Drivers Sue Franchises

Two former pizza delivery drivers for Domino's pizza franchises in Monroeville and Washington, Pa., have sued the franchises, saying they and others have been cheated out of fair pay.

Julia Bavaro and Nathan Blose said in the suit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court, that Domino's franchises incorporated by Ruth Denehey require delivery drivers to work at below minimum wage in violation of federal law.

The defendants are JC Washington and JC Northern Pike, the corporations that own franchises in Washington and Monroeville, along with other stores controlled by the same owners. Mr. Bavaro worked at the Washington store and Mr. Blose at the one on Northern Pike.

The plaintiffs, who are seeking class-action status, said that delivery drivers are paid minimum wage minus a tip credit for all hours worked. …
