ANTONIO Valencia's condition was 'not good' when he returned to Carrington following an extended holiday in Ecuador, according to boss Jose Mourinho . Unsurprisingly, the United manager was not in good form after seeing his patched-up side hammered 4-1 by bitter rivals Liverpool in front of more than 101,000 fans in Michigan.

Whether it was the 'baseball referees' or Anthony Martial's delayed return from Paris, following the birth of his son, Mourinho did not hold back post-match and he even criticised his own captain, Valencia, for the condition he was in earlier this month.

The 32-year-old had the summer off following Ecuador's failure to qualify for the World Cup and spent most of it back in his homeland with his family before returning to Manchester the week pre-season training started. …
