FRIDAY HARBOUR, Wash. x-19s. A mother killer whale whose newborn calf died more than a week ago is getting help from its extended family. Ken Balcomb, senior whale scientist at the Center For Whale Research in Washington state, says despite concerns about the mother's state of grief affecting its health, the animal appears in good condition.
