SALFORD CITY were denied a win in their first ever National League match after conceding a late equaliser against Leyton Orient.

Rory Gaffney had scored to give the hosts the lead at the Peninsula Stadium, but an 88th minute strike from Josh Coulson levelled things up for Leyton Orient and ensured they went home with a share of the spoils.

In the National League North, STOCKPORT COUNTY claimed bragging rights against one of their local rivals in emphatic style after a dominant 5-1 win at home to FC UNITED.

Two goals from Matthew Warburton, along with strikes from Euan Mulhern, Paul Turnbull and Kallum Mantack earned the Hatters the win, with FC United's consolation goal coming from Kurt Willoughby.
