2004 AUGUST 12: England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff celebrates bowling out West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan in the Third Test at Old Trafford.

The West Indies declared at 395 for nine in their first innings with England scoring 330 all out.

Sarwan scored 60 in the West Indies' second innings of 165, but England soon polished off the runs needed to cruise to a seven-wicket victory.

England were on form throughout the series which they won 4-0. It was the first time England had won all the Tests in a single series against the West Indies.

2002 AUGUST 4: Fireworks lit up a rainy night as the Queen officially closed the XVII Commonwealth Games at the City of Manchester stadium.

The spectacular closing ceremony, in front of 38,000 people, included a presentation of more than 1,700 lanterns which ended with the message 'Seek Peace' on the floor of the arena. …
