STLFC in the Playoff Hunt after Third Win in a Row

Article excerpt

Jake Fenlason says it took a little longer than he expected.

But St. Louis FC is finally playing to its potential, so says the squad's goalkeeper."We have a hunger now that maybe we didn't have before," Fenlason said. "You can see it in training and with the results on the field."

STLFC continued its recent roll with an impressive 4-1 victory over the Las Vegas Lights in United Soccer League action in front of 4,011 at Soccer Park in Fenton.

"Everything is falling into place."

STLFC looked razor sharp right from the start on Saturday. Kavita got the ball rolling by pouncing on a loose ball in the box in the fourth minute. Lewis Hilton started the play with a well-placed corner kick. Kavita picked up the loose ball from close range and knocked it past keeper Ricardo Ferrino.

Dacres, who missed the previous month with a dislocated shoulder, scored one of the prettiest goals of the season in the 13th minute. …
