¦ August 25, 1990: Manchester City midfielder Peter Reid keeps a close eye on England star Paul Gascoigne as the Blues take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The Division One match ended in a 3-1 win the home team, with City's goal coming from striker Niall Quinn.

Republic of Ireland international Quinn was City's the top scorer for the season, with 21 goals in all competitions.

Reid took over as City's player-manager in November after Howard Kendall returned to Everton. He guided the Blues to a fifth place finish in the league.

Reid remained City manager until 1993 when he signed as a player for Southampton.
