Teenager Arrested after Girl, 15, Is Stabbed

A TEENAGER has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was stabbed in Salford.

The victim was attacked in Paddington Close, Pendleton, outside St Paul's Church on Thursday afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 3.25pm.

The teenager was taken to hospital with what police describe as puncture wounds, but her injuries are not thought to be lifethreatening.

Following the attack, police cordoned off a large area around the church while CSI officers carried out their work. The North West Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and senior clinician.

The incident happened close to Sycamore Court, a 16-storey block of flats, off Churchill Way. Police have confirmed that a 17-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault in connection with the attack and remained in custody for questioning. …
